Michael Gainey, PGA serves as the PGA ExecuSearch Consultant for the Southern California PGA Section.

Michael, a resident of Ramona, CA, brings a rich and diverse background to his new role, drawing from various professional experiences that have shaped his perspective and leadership style. Earlier in his career, Michael served as a Detentions Deputy with the San Diego County Sheriff's Department. This role ingrained a deep sense of discipline, commitment, and community service into his professional ethos—qualities he continues to carry with him in his career in golf.

In addition to his law enforcement background, Michael has excelled in the fitness industry and golf coaching, contributing to his unique leadership and team dynamics viewpoint. These experiences, coupled with his golf operations expertise and current role as a Consumer Test Coordinator for the Titleist Performance Institute, equip him with a multifaceted approach to supporting PGA members.

As an accomplished photographer, Michael's work was featured on the cover of the 2021 Summer edition of Golf Inc magazine for the "Renovation of the Year." His creative insights and solution-driven mindset are critical assets in his role as a PGA Career Services team member.

Michael is a dedicated PGA member and has served on the board for the Southern California PGA Section while acting as a mentor in the Associate Mentorship Program. His extensive career journey and commitment to community service position him as a dynamic and relatable leader within the golf industry.
